Assistant Accountant Job Overview

This role involves providing financial support to a business, assisting with the preparation of management accounts, maintaining sales and purchase ledgers, and ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are up-to-date. The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced finance function and be able to meet reporting deadlines.



Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with weekly and monthly management account preparations
* Maintain accurate sales and purchase ledger records
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations
* Prepare and post journals
* Process VAT returns



Requirements:

* Qualified accounting technician or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
* Experience working in a fast-paced finance environment
* Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Attention to detail
* Good systems/IT skills
