We're looking for a skilled Global Sourcing and Supply Manager (GSSM) to work on strategic sourcing and planning, long term deal structuring and negotiation. In this role, you will work with procurement, finance and legal teams and also third-party suppliers. Position requires strong quantitative and analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
As a Global Sourcing and Supply Manager, you are positioned at the interface of Apple's product teams, and the industries that supply core technologies. We are responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies, as well as recommending product innovations based on improving technology. You'll bring a keen curiosity about market dynamics, settling deals, pricing, processes and risk mitigation. As part of the wider team, we drive centralised capacity planning for Apple products, driving long term strategic deals.
Description
Develop a nuanced understanding of the logistics landscape, to better forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competition influence. Identify changes in shipping and use industry dynamics to Apple's advantage.
Perform supplier financial research, spend analysis and ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic procurement deals.
Manage positive, effective relationships with suppliers to secure best-in-class terms for sourcing. Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality to strike agreements that meet Apple's performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity.
Collaborate across the Apple organization to ensure business objectives are met. Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply issues that can affect product strategy.
Optimize supply chain performance through cost and capacity scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
Develop an in-depth understanding of logistics costs and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence Apple's future roadmap and sourcing decisions.
Provide overall program management support and contribute to ongoing development of processes, templates, critical issue procedures, and reporting.","responsibilities":"Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with the EMEIA logistics space
Experience working for an air freight (specifically cargo) as well as bulk freight and small parcel
Understanding of the customs clearance process
Tenacity, passion and proven negotiation skills

Ability to identify and solve multi-layered supply chain issues
Drafting standard commercial contracts in partnership with legal
Demonstrated experience in driving autonomous decisions

Minimum Qualifications
Experience working in freight forwarding (preferably operations and/or procurement) with a detailed knowledge of Air and/or Ocean logistics.
Outstanding analytical and operational/mediation skills
