Public Affairs & Communications Executive
18-Month FTC | Dublin 2 - Hybrid (2 days onsite/week)
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experiencedPublic Affairs & Communications Executiveto support the delivery of a strategic public affairs and communications plan focused on the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).
This role sits within the Office of the CEO and reports directly to the Head of Public Affairs, with a dotted reporting line to the EPBD Project Manager. The successful candidate will play a key part in shaping communications and stakeholder engagement strategies that support climate action and national decarbonisation efforts.

* Salary: €51,511 per annum (non-negotiable, aligned to public sector scale).

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead implementation of a strategic public affairs and communications plan for the EPBD.
* Advise on messaging, stakeholder engagement, and reputational risk.
* Foster effective two-way dialogue with key audiences to build trust and transparency.
* Support policy development and event planning to ensure high-impact outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with best practice in governance and communications.
What You’ll Bring:
* A degree (minimum NFQ Level 7) in Communications, PR, Political Science, Public Policy, Journalism, Sustainability or related field.
* At least 3 years’ experience in public affairs, advocacy, communications, or a related discipline.
* Proven ability to develop and implement strategic communications and stakeholder plans.
* Strong writing, presenting and public speaking skills.
* Knowledge of key EU/Irish regulatory frameworks, including the EPBD, is a plus.
