Overview
Senior Occupational Therapist at Enable Ireland. Based in Bettystown, Meath/Dunshaughlin, East Meath within CHO 8 Meath CDNT. Contract Type: Permanent Full Time. Contract Hours: 1.0 WTE, 35 hours per week. Salary Scale: €57,771 to €68,385 pro rata per annum (LSI increments apply). Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum. The post involves working as a senior member of the interdisciplinary team providing services to children and families in the region, offering an occupational therapy service including assessment, diagnostics and intervention, clinical and performance supervision, and ongoing service delivery to children with significant complex needs (0–18 years) including physical, sensory, learning disabilities, developmental delay and autism.
Responsibilities
* Provide occupational therapy assessment, diagnostics and intervention for children with a range of disabilities.
* Deliver services to children aged 0–18 years with complex intervention needs.
* Provide clinical and performance supervision and contribute to ongoing service delivery within the team.
Essential Criteria
* Be registered, or eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by CORU.
* Three years’ full-time (or aggregate) post-qualification clinical experience.
* Knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of duties in the role (high standard of suitability and professional ability).
* Provide proof of statutory registration on CORU before a contract of employment is issued; annual registration must be maintained on appointment and confirmed to Enable Ireland.
Desirable Criteria
* Postgraduate training relevant to the 0–18 years age range (e.g., Sensory Integration, Bobath, NDT, Feeding, Postural management).
* Experience in assessment and intervention of children with autism.
* Experience supervising basic grade occupational therapists and/or students.
* 2+ years’ experience in paediatric services with diverse disabilities/complex needs; 1+ year post-qualification experience working with children with developmental delay and disabilities.
* Experience in conducting Assessment of Need and working with children aged 0–18 years and families; experience prescribing and monitoring equipment based on children’s needs.
