Electric Control Systems Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Electric Control Systems Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems for water and wastewater treatment projects.
This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all EICA elements are integrated into the overall project designs, meet industry standards, and function safely and efficiently.
The EICS Specialist will contribute to the design process from concept through to detailed design and will support the commissioning and handover stages of projects.
* Design and Develop Electrical Systems: Design and develop electrical systems, including SLDs, CBDs, Load Schedules, Systems Architecture, Cable Calculations, I/O schedules, and Electrical Install, MCC & SI Datasheets/Specifications
* Develop Control Strategies: Support the development of control strategies for water treatment processes, ensuring proper instrumentation and control system functionality
* Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and process engineers to ensure EICA systems are fully integrated into the overall project design
Requirements:
* Technical Skills: Strong technical skills with a focus on electrical, instrumentation, and control system design
* Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive and detail-oriented approach to design challenges
* Communication Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
* Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
* Experience: 3-5 years of experience in EICA design engineering, ideally within the water or wastewater industry
* Skills: Experience with electrical design tools, control system programming (PLCs, SCADA), and instrumentation
