The Role
Our client, a leading international player in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking an accomplished engineering leader to join their Global Operations Leadership Team. This newly created role will have responsibility for
Global Asset Care and Capital Expenditure (CapEx)
projects across multiple international production sites.
The position oversees global maintenance strategy, capital project execution, and the implementation of enabling technologies - all underpinned by best-in-class programme management. The successful candidate will lead a distributed team based in Dublin and across the client's manufacturing facilities worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and lead the
Global Asset Care & CapEx function
, developing a centre of excellence aligned with industry best practices and performance standards.
* Define and deliver the strategic roadmap for Asset Care & CapEx as a core element of the Global Operations strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation's commercial objectives and investment priorities.
* Develop and deploy the global maintenance strategy, ensuring effective implementation at local site level.
* Oversee all
Capital Project delivery
across the organisation, supported by strong PMO governance - e.g. factory builds/expansions, production line installations, decommissioning, and reconfiguration projects.
* Manage key relationships with vendors, OEMs, and other strategic partners supplying equipment and services for global capital projects.
* Drive the adoption of the right
technology architecture
across the manufacturing network to support a modern, digitally enabled operational environment.
* Contribute to the broader Global Operations Leadership Team, providing strategic input and operational expertise.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the Global Asset Care & CapEx team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements
* 15+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally within the
Food or Dairy
sector.
* Proven technical expertise and leadership capability in developing and delivering ambitious Asset Care & CapEx strategies.
* Strong programme management skills with a
data-driven, results-focused
approach.
* Demonstrated ability to influence across complex, matrixed organisations and build strong stakeholder relationships.
* Inclusive and inspiring people leader with a proven record of
developing talent and building future leaders

* Flexible and willing to travel regularly to international production sites (Ireland, UK, Spain, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and the US).
