Reporting to the Training & Progression Manager, the duties of the Training & Progression Officer(s) will include but will not be limited to:Coordinating the running of the Training & Progression ProgrammeEnsuring that the training room is fully equipped and ready for the trainees to use prior to their arrival each daySupporting a team of young adults with additional needs in support of their progression into education, employment, or enterprisePreparing reports for the Training & Progression Programme Manager on issues arising and works being planned (limited for the part time role)Ensuring the Training & Progression Programme is compliant with all relevant policies and proceduresEstablishing professional relationships with local businesses that could support the work placement opportunity for the traineesResponsible for the health, safety, and welfare of the trainees both on-site and off-siteOther ad-hoc duties in support of the effective operation and development of the facility.Person SpecificationEssential RequirementsA minimum of two-years previous training experience – specifically in areas of career guidance job coaching, and preparation for progression to Enterprise, Education and / or employment.Experience of working with or living with people with a disability.Available to work on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9am-17:00pmA commitment to providing support services for people with disabilities.An appetite to see full inclusion of people with a disabilities in community lifeA relevant third level qualificationDesirable RequirementsPrevious experience of coordinating and linking people with disabilities with employment opportunitiesFamiliarity with operating within social enterprise principlesExperience of working to support independent living and liaising with families and carers of people with disabilities.Experience of working in a team environmentJob Types: Part-time, Fixed termContract length: 24 monthsPay: From €14,000.00 per yearExpected hours: 19.5 per weekWork Location: In person
