Flaherty Markets Ltd is an Electrical Wholesalers trading for over 50 years. We are looking for a Buyer to join our team.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
* Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained throughout the business.
* Manage existing suppliers and introduce new suppliers as appropriate.
* Conduct a review of our existing suppliers to make sure they meet our needs and that of our customers
* Maintain and improve our stock database
* Analyse performance of current products and take necessary action that's needed
* Work with our sales team to ensure products are available in a timely manner
* Manage stocktake
The requirements for the job are as follows:
* Minimum of 3 years experience in buying in a Purchasing/Sales/Administration role in a wholesale environment. The electrical/construction industry would be an advantage but not necessary
* Proven track record of achieving results
* Strong analytical skills with a good business acumen essential
* Be able to work within a team and communicate effectively with all departments in the business
* Good general IT Skills
