Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. This role offers the chance to make a positive impact on the community by delivering social housing projects that meet high standards of quality, sustainability, and affordability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with experience working on residential or social housing projects. They will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects, leading a team of contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders, and ensuring that all aspects of construction are completed to a high standard.

The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management. They will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes effectively.

Responsibilities:


1. Manage a portfolio of social housing projects
2. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets
3. Oversee all aspects of construction, ensuring compliance with building regulations, safety standards, and social value commitments
4. Manage procurement processes, selecting and negotiating contracts with contractors and consultants
5. Monitor project finances, including cost control, budget reporting, and approvals for payments
6. Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring quality of work and adherence to project specifications
7. Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and progress reports
8. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including residents, local authorities, funders, and internal teams

Qualifications:


* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager
* Previous experience working in the residential or social housing sector
* Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard
* Strong understanding of construction methods, building regulations, and social value principles
* Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
* Proficient in construction software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
* A valid Construction Safety Passport (CSCS) or equivalent qualification
* A passion for social housing development and a commitment to making a positive impact on the community
