About the Role
We are seeking a qualified PV Electrician to join a growing renewable energy team. The role involves installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential, commercial, and industrial sites across Ireland. The successful candidate will ensure all electrical work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high professional standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, test, and commission solar PV systems in line with applicable standards and regulations
* Carry out electrical wiring, system connections, and fault-finding
* Perform routine maintenance and diagnose system issues
* Follow all on-site health and safety procedures
* Complete installation reports, testing documentation, and associated paperwork
* Communicate effectively with customers and project managers to support smooth project delivery
* Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good condition
Requirements
* Fully qualified electrician with recognised Irish electrical qualifications (e.g., QQI Level 6 or equivalent)
* Experience with solar PV installations or renewable energy systems (preferred)
* Safe Electric registration or eligibility to obtain it
* Good understanding of current Irish electrical regulations (ET101)
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Full, clean Irish driving licence
* Willingness to travel to sites nationwide
Desirable Experience
* Experience with battery storage systems or EV charger installations
* Knowledge of inverters and system monitoring software
* Working at Heights and Manual Handling certification
