The role is primarily remote working with occasional travel to/from ESBN premises
(including substations, depots and offices) in all parts of Ireland.

Role
Review of Management Asbestos Survey Reports in accordance with HSG 264 and ESBN
Framework requirements;
Assist with developing plans to address findings stated in the Management Asbestos
Reports, which may include development of Scope of Works;
Reviewing Refurbishment/Demolition Asbestos Survey reports as they arise
Develop asbestos related procedures for specific activities
Develop training material to embed procedures in the business
In conjunction with the embedded Framework Asbestos Consultant, provide competent
professional advice on ACMs to those with responsibilities under the Company Standard;
Conduct site based and desktop quality audits to ensure Framework Asbestos Consultants are conducting Asbestos Surveys in accordance with the framework specification.
Interaction and updating (where required) with the ESBN Asbestos Register;
Contribute to Framework Development e.g. Asbestos Removal & Disposal
Review Plans of Works issued by Specialist Asbestos Contractors
Development of Asbestos Management Plans in line with ESBN policy.
Knowledge / Qualifications
Full knowledge of Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Exposure to Asbestos) Regulations
2006 & 2010
Knowledge of supporting Construction and Safety Regulations
P402 and P405 (or equivalent) and S301 ideally.
An experienced (<;2 years post qualification) and competent Asbestos Surveyor.
Be familiar with the removal techniques associated with lower risk asbestos removal works.
Should have strong IT skills in MS Office applications;
Qualification in Health & Safety (desirable)
The ideal candidate would be innovative, flexible and enthusiastic.
The role will include:
Co-ordinate with key stakeholders (e.g. ESBN Asbestos Co-ordinator, Asset Management and
local project team) to implement the survey findings and follow on recommendations.
Preparation of Asbestos Management Plans as per ESBNs policy.
