Together, we are shaping the future of connected cardiac care and changing lives every single day A Day in The Life Of: In general, the following responsibilities apply for the Principal Software Engineer role.
This includes, but is not limited to the following: Design, develop, and test software for class I, II and III medical devices per software standards, e.g. IEC*****.
Plan major/moderately complex projects, manage scope, and estimate work in collaboration with product engineers, technology architects, software design engineers, and software test engineers.
Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, mentoring, and software engineering best practices to junior and senior software engineers.
Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code and other engineering artifacts, ensuring timely delivery to meet program commitments.
Participate in process improvement initiatives for the software team.
This includes recognizing areas for improvement as well as working with others to develop and document process improvements.
Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will increase team velocity.
Work collaboratively across functions and with internal and external partners to deliver high quality products to the marketplace.
