Technical Training Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Trainer to lead and support our site-wide training initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering certified training, driving and supporting induction, upskilling, and cross-training across departments.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Delivering certified training (IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721, IPC WHMA-A-620) to ensure compliance with customer standards.
2. Driving and supporting induction, upskilling, and cross-training across departments.
3. Assisting in developing capability matrices to identify skills gaps and mitigate single points of failure.
4. Coordinating with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to support audits, CAPA investigations, and prototype builds.
5. Leading practical, hands-on training in electronics handling, assembly, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement (CI/Lean).
6. Maintaining training facilities and records, and updating training content in line with current technologies and regulatory requirements.
7. Contributing to strategic training plans and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with HR and CI teams.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* IPC Certified Trainer credentials (J-STD-001/IPC-A-610) or willingness to achieve certification.
* A strong background in electronics manufacturing or design within an ISO or EN9100-certified environment.
* Experience in delivering training and assessing workforce skill levels.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisation skills.
* Solid knowledge of Lean methodologies and CI tools (A3, waste reduction).
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
