Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an Occupational Therapy service that improves the health and wellbeing of clients within local communities.
* Clients are individuals over 18 years old who have finished secondary education and have a primary diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* The post holder will achieve this through implementing an accessible, equitable, person-centered service in the community.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will work collaboratively to deliver a coordinated approach to client support and intervention.
This includes developing, planning, implementing and reviewing support/intervention programmes for clients according to service standards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop personalized plans.
2. Collaborating with other professionals to deliver a comprehensive service that meets the needs of clients.
3. Maintaining accurate records and reporting on client progress.
Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, as well as experience working with clients with Asperger Syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
