Automation solutions specialist

Job Overview:

Cpl, in partnership with Pfizer Grange Castle, is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team on an 11-month contract.

This role will be part of the Grange Castle NPI project team, working in a highly automated plant at Grange Castle.

The successful candidate will have experience in delivering Emerson DeltaV solutions and/or high-level expertise in PLC and SCADA based systems including integration.

They will also have strong documentation skills and attention to detail, as well as experience with process plant commissioning.

The Automation Engineer will collaborate closely with Process SMEs, CQV Leads, and Automation Engineers to deliver key projects.

Some responsibilities include working on automation change packs, participating in project reviews, and supporting internal stakeholders.


* Generate technical inputs into functional design specifications
* Participate in and sign off on functional design aspects
* Implement automation changes using ACP's
* Support project reviews with stakeholders


* Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Chemical Engineering
* Over 5 years of experience as an Automation Engineer in biotechnology industry
* Experience with PLC and SCADA based systems
* Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
* Ability to liaise with process engineers
