These teams provide intervention to children from the age of 0-18 years, presenting with complex developmental needs & requiring inter-disciplinary intervention.There are a number of principles which will inform the operational work of the CDNT's. Those which are most relevant to the necessity for a Clinical Nurse Manager, include implementation of the biopsychosocial model, clinical governance and evidence based practice, early identification of needs, evaluation of outcomes, family centred practice and interdisciplinary team working.The team current consists of the following:Children's Disability Network Manager; Administrative Support; Occupational Therapy; Physiotherapy; Psychology; Speech and Language Therapy and Social Work. There is access to a Paediatric Neurodisabilty Consultant, and a Clinical Specialist DieticianThe HSE has created six new health regions. Each region is responsible for providing both hospital and community care for the people in that area.
