Role OverviewThe General Manager will lead the overall operations of the Cork facility, driving performance across production, logistics, customer service, and commercial activities. This is a senior leadership role responsible for delivering on financial targets, operational excellence, and strategic growth initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyDevelop and execute the site's business plan in alignment with the company's overall strategy.Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional management team to deliver high performance and continuous improvement.Act as the key decision-maker on-site, balancing operational efficiency with customer satisfaction.Operational ManagementOversee production, packaging, and warehousing operations to ensure optimum utilisation of resources.Implement best-in-class processes to maximise productivity, quality, and safety standards.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Financial & Commercial PerformanceManage the site P&L, budgeting, and forecasting processes.Monitor and control costs to achieve profitability targets.Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, supporting commercial negotiations and driving new business opportunities.Continuous Improvement & InnovationIntroduce lean principles and data-driven decision-making to enhance operational performance.Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and employee engagement.Identify opportunities for service innovation and diversification.Key RequirementsExperience & Background10+ years' experience in senior operational roles, ideally including experience in manufacturing, distribution, or a related service environment.Proven track record of managing P&L and delivering sustainable growth.Strong leadership experience, with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.Skills & CompetenciesStrategic thinker with hands-on operational management skills.Commercially astute with strong financial and business acumen.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.Strong focus on health & safety, compliance, and quality assurance.Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (advantageous).
