Through exhibitions, workshops, and festivals, we connect artists and the community, making the arts accessible to all.We are seeking a Treasurer with strong financial expertise to join our board and help ensure the financial sustainability of the organization.The RoleAs Treasurer, you will provide financial oversight and strategic guidance, ensuring good governance and transparent financial management. You will work closely with the Chair and Board to monitor budgets, review accounts, and contribute to long-term planning.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the organization’s financial health and advise the Board on financial mattersReview budgets, financial reports, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirementsSupport the preparation of annual accounts and liaise with the auditor as requiredAdvise on fundraising strategies and sustainable financial planningAct as a financial sounding board for the management teamSkills & ExperienceProfessional accounting or financial qualification (or equivalent experience)Strong understanding of financial governance and reportingAbility to interpret financial data and communicate it clearly to non-financial board membersExperience in the charity or arts sector is desirable but not essentialPassion for the arts and commitment to Ranelagh Arts’ missionCommitmentThe board meets monthly, with some additional input for financial review and reporting. This is a voluntary role with an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per month.
