Job Title: Senior Social Care Worker
Purpose of the Role:
* To provide care and support through a person-centred approach, meeting the practical, physical and emotional needs of service users with an Intellectual Disability/ABI/Autism.
* Ensure that residents achieve their highest level of functioning to maintain independence or improve skills for greater autonomy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Social Care Worker is part of the on-floor duty team. They will coordinate shifts while on duty, supervise other staff under direction, and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team in service delivery. The post holder reports directly to the Person In-Charge.
Key Requirements:
1. A qualification at Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications in Social Care, Social Work, Youth Work, Teaching or Nursing with Childcare modules (or relevant discipline)
2. No less than two years' experience working in residential settings with people having intellectual disabilities
3. CORU registration or currently obtaining CORU registration is required.
