Key Responsibilities:
Lead the management of Health and Safety on-site, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
Review and comment on design drawings, raising RFIs as needed.
Actively participate in Design Team Meetings, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding design issues.
Communicate approved technical submittals to relevant site teams.
Understand and report on the delivery programme, intervening proactively to avoid delays.
Coordinate subcontractors and service providers to meet testing and commissioning deadlines.
Monitor quality control of subcontractor work and supplier deliveries.
Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, design specifications, and applicable standards.
Conduct continuous site inspections, recording and resolving issues promptly.
Promote and implement internal quality management systems across the team.
Lead on technical submittals, benchmarks, and inspection processes.
Ensure digital management systems and BCAR compliance are maintained.
Oversee benchmarking processes and participate in scaffold inspections as required.
Manage site drawings and maintain accurate site records and QA documentation.
Oversee specific work packages, including tender input, scope understanding, subcontractor programme monitoring, material ordering, and trade coordination.
Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Lead the implementation of Temporary Works Management.
Manage third-party stakeholders such as utility providers and local authorities.
Drive value engineering by challenging design and identifying efficiencies.
Support early stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
Lead and mentor the engineering team, including development planning for direct reports.
Chair site and construction team meetings.
Promote a best-in-class customer experience and uphold the client's brand values.
Candidate Profile:
Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in a similar role.
Degree qualification in Engineering or equivalent.
Proven ability to meet demanding time and quality targets.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented, methodical, and accurate.
Collaborative team player with leadership capabilities.
Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Willingness to take ownership and responsibility for tasks.
