Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Manager position oversees daily operations to ensure on-time deliveries, high-quality products, and improved production efficiencies through effective resource planning, lean manufacturing techniques, and disciplined production processes.
Achieve low-cost producer status while maintaining total customer satisfaction. Collaborate with product development teams to integrate product and production processes seamlessly.

Responsibilities:
-Supervise production line flow, including testing and adjusting staffing and equipment to meet production schedules.
-Oversee all production activities, ensuring high visibility and access to staff throughout shifts.
-Continuously evaluate manufacturing operations to identify improvements using metrics, capital, personnel, and operational standards.
-Coordinate with Quality Control to maintain quality standards, taking corrective action measures as needed.
-Collaborate with the scheduler to ensure staffing aligns with business needs.
-Train, motivate, coach, reward, and discipline staff, resolving issues within the manufacturing area to promote teamwork.
-Enforce safety policies, ensuring all manufacturing staff attends required safety training and investigates accidents promptly and accurately.
-Resolve production-related issues with representatives from other departments.
-Assign duties, monitor quality, and assure employees adhere to organisational policies and procedures, meeting state and federal employment and safety guidelines.
-Maintain knowledge of manufacturing equipment and machinery, ensuring it meets production needs.
-Proactively identify potential barriers and propose solutions without disrupting production.
-Establish departmental goals and objectives through strategic planning.
-Support Continuous Improvement strategies by empowering the team to participate in continuous improvement opportunities, including training and support.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree (Level 8) or equivalent experience
-3-5 years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
-Ability to read engineering drawings
-Experience with capacity planning, from a people and equipment perspective
-Able to train and motivate employees to create quality products, increase KPIs, and grow profitability
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional presentation, and negotiation skills
-Flexible, innovative, and comfortable setting own priorities
-Polished presentation, business acumen, and facilitation skills
-Good understanding of lean manufacturing principles
-Experience with high-volume manufacturing operations
-Strong organisation and planning skills
