Job Title: Health & Safety Officer
We are seeking a dedicated Junior H&S Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and enforcing health and safety policies, ensuring compliance across operations.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently, solving problems proactively. They will also have strong IT skills (Microsoft Office) and the ability to identify training needs.
In this role, you will conduct regular meetings with plant managers and supervisors to ensure legislative compliance and improve health and safety standards.
Duties Involve:
* Implement, improve and enhance the site's safety management system.
* Support and advise managers in ensuring legislative compliance and improving health and safety.
* Conduct and attend regular meetings with plant managers and supervisors.
* Support the implementation of a leading indicator programme.
* Investigate all accidents and near misses.
* Review and develop health and safety procedures, policies, work instructions and documentation.
* Identify training needs and manage training records.
* Deliver health and safety inductions and other safety training.
* Prepare health safety reports for the business.
Requirements:
* A qualification or equivalent within H&S or 1 year of relevant experience.
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Ability to work independently and solve problems proactively.
* NEBOSH Certification.
* Excellent communication skills.
