Job Title: Health & Safety Engineer - PSDP
The role of a Health and Safety Engineer is to ensure the safe operation of construction projects by discharging the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) role. This involves attending client, design, and site meetings to facilitate communication and coordinate project activities.
Main Responsibilities:
* Attending meetings with clients, designers, and site personnel to discuss project progress and identify potential safety risks.
* Preparing preliminary safety and health plans to mitigate identified risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Compiling and preparing safety files to document project activities and ensure traceability.
* Preparing health and safety reports to provide stakeholders with accurate information on project performance.
* Conducting site visits to monitor project activities and identify areas for improvement.
* Coordinating and liaising with all parties involved in a construction project to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
* Reviewing the competence of duty holders to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely.
* Inspecting sites and reporting on legal cases concerning health and safety to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Working with contractors to discharge the role of Principal Contractor on construction projects.
Requirements:
* A degree in Construction or a related discipline such as Architect, Building Surveyor, Civil & Structural Engineer, or Mechanical & Electrical Engineer.
* At least 4 years' experience working in the construction sector.
