We are looking forClinical nurse Manager 2 to our hospital in Dublin.
Responsibilities They will provide efficient and effective management in such a way as to provide a safe environment for patients and staff while making the best use of time and resources with a particular emphasis on the promotion of multidisciplinary team workingThey are responsible for ensuring infection control and hygiene standards are maintainedThe Clinical Nurse Manager II must adhere to the Code of Professional Practice and Behaviours for Registered NursesEnsure all Hospital policies and procedures are implemented and available for staffEnsure that all nurses are familiar with and knowledgeable regarding the correct procedure to follow in the care of fire, loss of power, cardiac arrest, and major incidentManage and maintain equipment for the department and ensure it is available to meet service needsEnsure that nursing care is planned, assessed, delivered, and evaluated on an individual basis for each patient, by all members of the nursing teamAssist in the orientation of new staff members and participate in and conduct performance assessment of assigned staff in conjunction with the CNM II/ADONProvide a vehicle for the delivery of total holistic patient care by ensuring that relevant staff are adequately informed of patients' medical and social history, fears, queries, religious beliefs, and concernsReview and plan with each individual surgeons and the relevant stakeholders, the planned theatre schedules as set out in the capacity planning system modelDirect the multidisciplinary team to ensure that the Operating Theatre sessions are effectively used.
To monitor the efficiency of the system ensuring optimal session utilisation.Ensure that staff rosters and annual leave/time off are planned to guarantee adequate staffing levels and skills mix to provide quality patient careHave working knowledge of the time and management system; TAMSEstablish and maintain a stock controls system in consultant with the purchasing department and be responsible for continuously reviewing its successActive participation in the weekly scheduling meeting with clinical bed manager, theatre manager and other relevant committeesAssist with the identification and assessment of staff training needs and in-service training programmesUndertake any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time.RequirementsRegistered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), or eligible to register with NMBI5 years post-registration experience in the acute hospital setting with minimum of 3 years relevant clinical experience.Demonstrate management experience within the last 3 yearsManagement CourseKnowledge of JCI or similar accreditation systemDemonstrate IT SkillsDemonstrate experience in personal and professional development of staff
