Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of Environmental Health & Safety programs within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role will focus on ISO14001:2015 implementation, industrial hygiene, and EHS data management, while acting as a key advisor to site teams on EHS-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement, maintain, and sustain ISO14001:2015 standards in partnership with external vendors.
* Act as SME for Industrial Hygiene, overseeing risk assessments and monitoring programs.
* Manage chemical safety processes, including new chemical introductions, SDS database accuracy, and maintaining the site chemical register.
* Lead and support emergency response planning and related training programs.
* Oversee contractor management and permit-to-work processes.
* Provide regular reporting on EHS performance metrics, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
* Chair and lead EHS meetings, driving compliance and continuous improvement.
* Deliver training in areas such as chemical awareness, manual handling, contractor safety, and permit-to-work systems.
* Conduct walkdowns, audits, and program reviews to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
* Support investigations, CAPA close-outs, and proactive EHS initiatives.
* Assist in the preparation, review, and rollout of EHS procedures, documentation, and risk assessments.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant third-level qualification in Science, Engineering, or EHS.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in EHS within MedTech, Pharma, or a related regulated industry.
* Strong knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards.
* Demonstrated ability to lead industrial hygiene programs.
* Proficiency with EHS software systems and strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, dashboards).
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of an organisation.
* Lead auditor qualification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001.
* Strong communicator and influencer with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to deliver compliance-driven results in a fast-paced environment.
* Innovative, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
