System Architect - Sensors / SoCWe are currently partnered with a global leader in semiconductor solutions, driving the next generation of system-on-chip (SoC) products for smartphones, IoT, wearables, automotive, and other emerging markets. The team is expanding and is looking for a Staff-Level Systems Architect to define, prototype, and optimize SoC architectures that deliver best-in-class performance, power efficiency, and support for advanced workloads such as machine learning, AR/VR, and multimedia processing.This is a permanent position based onsite in Cork, Ireland.Key Responsibilities for this Systems Architect position:Architect next-generation SoC solutions for mobile, IoT, automotive, and wearable devices, focusing on performance, power efficiency, and emerging workloads.Conduct hands-on workload analysis, algorithm optimization, and performance/power characterization to guide architectural decisions.Collaborate with hardware and software teams to define multimedia, compute, memory, and communication subsystem architectures.Deploy simulators, profilers, and hardware to provide quantitative justification for architectural directions.Apply expertise in CPU, GPU, DSP, cache coherency, virtual memory, and SoC design to solve complex system challenges.Communicate experimental results and architectural recommendations to technical leads and peers.Innovate and file patents for novel technical solutions.Contribute to a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team environment, driving forward-thinking system design methodologies.Key Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's or PhD highly desirable.7+ years of systems engineering or related work experience.Strong SoC architecture background with hands-on system design experience across embedded software and hardware.Expertise in SoC/computer architecture, digital hardware design, verification/test, and embedded systems.Knowledge of multimedia systems, power management, graphics/GPU architecture, and ARM CPU/DSP optimization.Experience with Linux/Android environments, serial bus protocols, system modeling (SystemC/C++), and scripting languages (Perl, Python).Keywords:SoC / Computer Architecture / Systems Architect / GPU / DSP / CPU / Embedded Systems / Power Optimization / Performance Modeling / Linux / Android / ML / Machine Learning / Multimedia / AR / VR / C++ / SystemC / Python / Perl / Sensors / IoT / Wearables / AutomotiveIf you are interested in the Systems Architect position, please send a copy of your CV to -By applying to this role you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems.
