On behalf of our client, an established and growing Irish business in the water treatment and chemical supply sector, we are recruiting for a Business Services Manager to join their team on a part-time basis.
This is a key role within a small, dynamic organisation at an exciting stage of growth. The company is expanding into new markets in the UK and Ireland and is bringing on additional sales staff, creating a need for a highly organised professional to manage core business operations.
The role will combine hands-on administration with mid-level operational responsibilities, particularly in logistics, procurement, and order processing. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and taking ownership of essential business processes.
Key Responsibilities
Managing day-to-day administrative functions including:
Purchase Orders
Invoicing
Order processing (approx orders per week)
Coordinating logistics for the delivery and receipt of goods, including full container loads
Managing supplier relationships and sourcing competitive pricing
Supporting procurement activities for chemicals and related equipment
Liaising with logistics providers, freight partners, and external service companies
Supporting sales operations with administration and coordination tasks
Acting as the central point of contact for operational queries
Ensuring smooth and efficient processing of customer and supplier transactions
Maintaining accurate records and supporting general office organisation
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring:
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Confidence managing order processing and supplier communications
A proactive, problem-solving mindset
The ability to work independently and take ownership of key processes
Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
While industry experience is not essential, candidates with exposure to manufacturing or operations environments will be at an advantage.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a similar coordination or operations support role
Familiarity with Sage or similar accounting systems
Understanding of basic accounting principles
Experience in a small to medium-sized business environment
Background in Executive Assistant, office management, or business support roles
Role Overview
This position suits someone with a good level of professional experience who enjoys being at the centre of business operations. It is not a junior admin role - the successful candidate will be expected to take a leadership approach to logistics and order management.
