Company Overview An international renewables engineering and construction contractor delivering utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects across the UK and Europe. The business provides full lifecycle delivery, from feasibility and design through construction, commissioning and long-term O&M, with a strong in-house delivery model (engineering, project management and commissioning teams) to maintain control, quality and accountability on site.Project Overview The contractor is delivering two utility-scale solar PV projects (50MW+ each) in the province of Leinster and is looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead on-site delivery. This is a hands-on role for someone who can control day-to-day site activity, manage subcontractors, and keep the project moving safely, on programme, and to a high quality standard.Key Responsibilities · Take full ownership of day-to-day site operations across utility-scale solar PV construction works· Control and coordinate subcontractors (planning, sequencing, productivity, quality and safety)· Ensure works are delivered in line with programme milestones and construction method statements· Maintain strong site standards for HSE, quality control and housekeeping· Coordinate site logistics: deliveries, laydown areas, access, permits, and site setup· Track progress and report updates clearly to the Project Manager and wider stakeholders· Identify risks early (programme, quality, HSE, resourcing, materials) and implement corrective actions· Manage site documentation and reporting (RAMS, permits, daily diaries, progress reports, snagging)· Support commissioning readiness and handover activities as required· Build a strong site culture: clear communication, accountability, and professional conductRequired Experience · Proven experience as a Site Manager / Construction Site Manager on large construction projects· Strong track record of controlling works and subcontractors on site· Experience delivering projects with multiple workstreams (civils, electrical, mechanical, logistics)· Confident managing programme pressure and strict deadlines· Strong understanding of site safety and quality expectations· Ability to work fully on-siteAdvantageous (Nice to have) · Utility-scale solar PV project experience· Experience on 50MW+ renewable or infrastructure projects· Background in renewables EPC / main contractor environments· Electrical or civils exposure within solar construction· Strong reporting and stakeholder management skillsWhat success looks like· Subcontractors are controlled and productive, with clear daily priorities· Work is delivered safely, with high standards and minimal rework· Programme milestones are met and issues are escalated early with solutions· Site documentation is accurate and up to date· The site runs smoothly and professionally across both projectsBenefits Company car / vehicle allowanceNEST pensionCompetitive package aligned to experience and project responsibilityHow to applySend your CV and a short summary of:· Your most relevant site management projects (size/MW if solar)· Subcontractor management experience & availability
