We are looking for a passionate and hardworking senior chef to join our strong team.
Responsibilities include:
* Menu Execution and Preparation:
Assist the Head Chef in executing menu plans and recipes, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation of dishes during service periods.
Supervise and participate in food preparation, cooking, and plating to maintain efficiency and timeliness in the kitchen.
* Kitchen Operations Support:
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production schedules, ensuring that all stations are adequately stocked and prepared for service.
Oversee kitchen cleanliness, organization, and equipment maintenance to uphold food safety standards and operational efficiency.
* Team Leadership and Training:
Lead and motivate kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to recipes and procedures.
Conduct training sessions for new hires and ongoing skill development for existing team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
* Gross Profit Management and Stock Control:
Monitor food costs, portion sizes, and wastage to optimize Gross Profit margins and control expenses.
Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies, conducting stock checks, and minimizing food wastage to optimize cost control, profitability, and stock rotation.
Key Skills & Attributes:
* 2/3 years previous experience at Sous level
* Level-headed/sensible and consistent in nature, trustworthy and reliable
* Ability to work flexibly under pressure with a positive attitude
* Approachable with excellent people skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* High level of initiative
* Ability to multitask
* A desire to progress as a Chef
* Versatile and willing to learn
* Excellent time management essential
