IT Operations Manager
An IT operations manager is a critical role that oversees the day-to-day functioning of an organization's IT infrastructure. As an IT operations manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of systems, networks, and infrastructure.
About This Role:
* This role involves overseeing the technical support and training of staff, as well as supervising all IT security aspects of the business.
* You will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining appropriate procedures and policies, balancing technological and capacity resources to meet company and employee needs.
* A key aspect of this role is ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory and security standards.
* You will work closely with the IT team to develop and implement IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation.
* The role requires providing direction for team members, mentoring and training them, and adhering to strict IT policies and standards.
* Additionally, you will run and share regular operation system reports with the IT Manager and deliver ad-hoc unplanned changes.
Requirements:
* 2-3 years experience in IT with a strong background in day-to-day IT operational management - covering Infrastructure, Systems, Networks, Active Directory, Cloud Services, Data and IT operations.
* Operational experience in Key Infrastructure Technologies such as Firewalls, Switches, Storage, Virtual software and Servers (Windows).
* Experience/knowledge in IT security.
* Working knowledge of cloud technologies.
* Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems.
* Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
* Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
* Networking.
* Knowledge of SQL and databases.
Education:
* Diploma/degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
