Senior BMS Engineer Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior BMS Design Engineer to deliver BMS system design for complex projects in the pharmaceutical, food, mission critical, medtech, advanced manufacturing, and energy sectors.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work independently with clients to understand individual project requirements then delivering the BMS system design to a specific standard for the BMS contractor to develop the installation detail which will be monitored & witnessed for compliance with the design.
Main Responsibilities
1. Client interface management to understand project requirements and presentation of design at design stage gates.
2. Design of control systems across various BMS platforms to develop the required project documentation; BMS I/O lists, HVAC and Utility Sequence of Operations documents, Scope of Works, Functional Specifications, Hardware Specifications.
3. Design BMS System Architecture & Topography.
4. Instrumentation design, selection, and approval.
5. Coordinate and collaborate across project disciplines both within the office and outside.
6. Review & comment on contractor site queries, technical submittals, and panel shop drawings/wiring diagrams for compliance against the design intent.
7. Review and approval of panel FAT documents and SAT documents.
8. Witness testing of panel FATs and site SATs when applicable.
Requirements
1. Level 8 University Engineering degree (i.e. Mechanical, Building Services, Automation Engineering) with minimum five (5) years relevant experience is preferred; or minimum five (5) year apprenticeship program or related College technical diploma with six or more years of relevant experience.
2. Knowledge and strong background in BMS.
3. Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, data centre, or health-related facility.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. General knowledge of network configuration, computer hardware and software, including automation applications.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Vision, PowerPoint, etc.).
