Opportunity to join global energy multi-national manufacturing site in East Cork Will be accountable for Electrical Safety in design and life cycle of all E&I installations and equipment in support of Capital Projects, Technical, Maintenance, Operations and HSE.
This is to ensure electrical, instrumentation and functional safety is maintained and improved through design, across the site.
Ensures that EPs/REPs and any related procedures associated with the E&I discipline, are followed during the design phase.
Supports the review and maintenance of Technical Documents, EPDs, HACs, ATEX and SIS / Functional Safety documents associated with E&I design.
Inputs into the development of a lifecycle map for EOL equipment and supports the technology strategy and implementation plans for new equipment, suitable for use in a sustainable energy future.
Provides E&I technical support primarily to capital projects but also operations, maintenance, HSE and specialist engineers within term contracts in support of the E&I Engineering Lead, as required.
Degree qualified Electrical Engineer with design experience ideally in a SEVESO industry.
Additional qualification in Instrumentation, Functional Safety, ATEX or related experience is highly desirable.
Understanding of design within Electrical networks, Instrumentation, safety systems, and process control systems equipment Experience in E&I Engineering design within capital projects and maintenance with knowledge of High-Tension Electrical equipment including electrical transmission systems, transformers, motors etc.
Considered an authority of the E&I discipline and able to effectively manage complex problems and provide unique and innovative design solutions.
