Job Description:
Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with our client, a non-profit organization based in Dublin, Ireland, provides services for people who are homeless and those at risk of homelessness in Ireland.
The purpose of this project is to provide short-term accommodation to Ukrainian young people, aged 15-17, who have been displaced from their homes.
What you will do:
* Work within the framework of the overall objective of the organization and the values of the agency.
* Work as part of a team within the policies and procedures for the project or as directed by the project manager, deputy manager, or head of department.
* Act as a key worker for individual young people and collaborate with external agencies regarding referrals.
* Develop individualized programs exploring clients' experiences of homelessness and support their pathway to independent living.
* Support young people who have experienced trauma and present challenging behaviors.
* Advocate for young people's housing, social work, welfare, education, training, and legal rights.
* Assist in developing and maintaining individual placement plans in accordance with statutory care plans.
* Refer and support young people with external agencies for various needs.
* Maintain accurate records in line with statutory and health and safety requirements.
* Participate in team, review, and agency meetings.
* Implement organization policies and work collaboratively with other projects.
* Prepare for and participate in supervision sessions.
* Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
* Follow health, safety, and welfare regulations and report risks or concerns.
* Be available to participate in a 7-day, 24-hour roster.
What you will need:
* A third-level degree in Social Care.
* Proven experience in a social care setting at a project worker level or equivalent.
* Experience supporting marginalized clients/groups, preferably adolescents.
* Knowledge of social issues affecting young people, especially those experiencing homelessness.
* Ability to manage crises and challenging behaviors based on best practices.
* Understanding of Child Protection policies.
* Experience with key working, assessments, and care planning.
* Excellent report writing and IT skills.
* Ability to work well in a team.
* Reliability and flexibility.
* Knowledge of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (desirable).
* Knowledge of the National Standards for Children’s Residential Centres (desirable).
