Job Overview
The Fund Accounting Manager is responsible for leading a high-growth team in a dynamic environment. This role requires a strong understanding of alternative fund structures and related investment types.
Main Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary senior point of contact for clients on accounting matters.
* Ensure timely and accurate delivery of NAVs.
* Provide exceptional client service and resolve queries promptly.
* Analyze root causes of issues and implement effective remediation strategies.
* Participate in departmental initiatives and group projects to improve operating models and operational efficiencies.
* Enforce adherence to procedures and controls.
* Manage resource planning, including partnering with other teams.
* Develop and motivate staff within the team.
* Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, third parties, and other functional groups.
* Present reports at Fund Board Meetings as required.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* At least 10 years' experience in alternative funds, with 3 years in a managerial capacity.
* Experience working with fund accounting systems, preferably Investran and/or Geneva.
* In-depth knowledge of alternative fund structures, various fund domiciles, regulatory requirements, and performance calculations.
* Demonstrable experience in fund/fee documentation review and interpretation.
* Coaching and mentoring experience.
* Strong data management skills.
* ACCA qualified or equivalent.
