Join our AI Innovation Lab in Wexford, Ireland, as an AI Data Scientist and help drive the development of cutting-edge AI solutions for Equifax UK&I. This role involves designing, managing, and delivering analytical insights and solutions through advanced data analysis, robust data management, and applied data science. Key activities include performing in-depth data analysis, modeling, visualization, and interpretation to generate actionable insights; designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end AI/ML models; and ensuring proper governance of data sources, models, attributes, and analytical platforms throughout the project lifecycle. You will contribute technical expertise and business acumen, collaborating closely with the team to innovate and implement novel AI solutions. The role also entails contributing to the data and insight strategy, supporting its execution, providing thought leadership, mentoring junior analysts, and staying current with the latest AI/ML trends and technologies. Success requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong experience across the data lifecycle, a proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, and a genuine passion for innovation and AI. As a Data Scientist, you will manipulate large data sets, integrate diverse data sources, data types, and data structures into solutions under management guidance. You will develop analytical approaches to meet business requirements, translating requests into use cases, test cases, preparing training data sets, and iterative algorithm development. What you will do: Utilize knowledge of data structures, analytics, algorithms/models, and computer science fundamentals to prepare datasets, conduct analytics, and develop deployable solutions with guidance from senior resources. Leverage knowledge of data structures and algorithms to analyze and prepare data from standard and new data sources. Analyze and prepare complex and new data sources and incorporate them into analytical solutions. Work on moderate complexity tasks across multiple business or analytical domains, collaborating with teams to develop predictive models, risk assessments, fraud detection, recommendation engines, etc. Package, summarize, and visualize analytical findings for management; evaluate peer and junior data scientists' work to ensure high quality solutions. What experience you need: BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline. 2-5 years of experience in a related analytical role, including predictive model development. Cloud certification strongly preferred. Additional role-based certifications may be required depending on region/BU. What could set you apart: Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, or related discipline. Knowledge of the financial services industry. Contributions to open-source AI projects. Experience with data visualization tools.
