Executive Assistant - Regional Enterprise Development - Sligo (2025-45)

Job Purpose:

The Executive Assistant will provide coordination and administrative support to the North-West Regional Business Development Team based in Sligo, with occasional support in other offices. This role is integral to the delivery of investment projects across the North West Region, which includes the counties of Donegal, Sligo, and Leitrim, and forms part of the wider Border Region (Cavan and Monaghan).

Key Responsibilities:

* Coordinate regional business development activities and engagements.
* Deliver high-quality administrative support to ensure efficient team operations.
* Support the achievement of strategic objectives, particularly the goal to maximise regional opportunities.
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders to promote and facilitate regional growth.
* Assist in the implementation of initiatives aligned with IDA Ireland’s organisational strategy.

Strategic Alignment:
* Support efforts tostrengthen long-term investmentby enabling seamless engagement with existing clients in the region.
* Facilitate initiatives thatscale cutting-edge innovation, particularly through collaboration with regional stakeholders and institutions.
* Assist in activities thatdrive sustainable change, including support for green and digital transformation projects in the North West.
* Contribute to IDA Ireland’s mission tomaximise regional opportunitiesby helping deliver investment and infrastructure that enhances the region’s competitiveness.

The North West Region, with its National Planning Framework (NPF) designated Regional Growth Centres in Letterkenny and Sligo, is home to 55 IDA client companies employing over 9,000 people. The region’s key industry clusters include high-value manufacturing, international financial services, technology, and business services. This role supports IDA Ireland’s commitment to balanced regional development and the delivery of ambitious investment targets.

Key Tasks:
* Deliver high-quality administrative support to the Regional Office, including managing incoming communications (phone and email), processing invoices, coordinating event coordination, and maintaining the office diary.
* Support the North West Regional Team in coordinating activities and itineraries that advance strategic business development initiatives, including the preparation of presentations and reports.
* Assist in the creation of high-quality marketing materials such as case studies, profiles, infographics, and other promotional content.
* Conduct relevant research and maintain an up-to-date database of regional information to support team activities.
* Maintain and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system as required and generate weekly progress reports for the Management Team.
* Collaborate with the Regional Executive and Regional Manager to collect and analyse key metrics and performance data, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
* Uphold and promote the IDA Ireland brand across the region through professional engagement and representation.
* Contribute proactively and positively to the development of the Regional Enterprise Development team.
* Commit to continuous learning and development through formal and informal opportunities, including participation in the Performance Management and Development Review process.

Additional Requirements:
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with familiarity with social media platforms.
* Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* A third-level qualification is desirable, with an interest in pursuing further education (e.g., a degree) considered an advantage.
* A full, clean driving licence is desirable.
* Experience with content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign is advantageous.
* Willingness to embrace flexibility and explore career development opportunities within IDA Ireland’s office network.
* Availability to travel and work outside normal office hours as required by the role.
Salary Scale:
€27,304 to €45,029 per annum contributory superannuation.
Rising by long service increments to €46,326 (after 3 years satisfactory service at the maximum of the range)
