We are currently seeking to hire a full-time
Accounts Typist
who will join our Central Audit Support Unit (CASU) for an initial 12-month contract role. The unit comprises a number of teams that provide various support services to audit engagement teams. The role may require that you work within any of relevant support teams within CASU.
We are inviting applications for a dedicated Accounts Typist to become an integral part of our Central Audit Support Unit (CASU) on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment, supporting our audit engagement teams in the provision of typed draft financial statements, and also on occasion you may be required to work alongside different sub-teams within CASU, ensuring a varied and rewarding experience.

Here Is What You Can Initially Expect
* Generating the initial outline for our clients' statutory financial statements, using Microsoft Word, gaining hands-on experience in financial documentation.
* Updating changes (as provided by the auditor) to the financial statement drafts, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout each version of the Word document until finalisation.
* Support daily operations of the Central Audit Support Unit (CASU), collaborating with various sub-teams for a diverse and dynamic work experience.
* Enjoy opportunities for variety, as occasional assignments across different CASU sub-teams keep your day-to-day work rewarding and engaging.
* Receive ongoing guidance from your team leader, fostering your professional development and skill growth within a supportive setting.
Qualifications And Experience Required For This Role Include
* Minimum of one year's experience in a secretarial or administrative role within a busy office environment.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Word; strong skills in Excel and Outlook are also desirable.
* Excellent copy typing ability and strong general administrative skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work produced.
* Demonstrated enthusiasm, adaptability, reliability, and flexibility, with the ability to thrive in a diverse team.
* Proven capability to work efficiently under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
* Highly organised, able to coordinate and progress tasks independently, and proactive in improving administrative processes.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills to balance multiple priorities.
* Willingness to take on responsibility for delegated tasks and projects.
* Confident working unsupervised on day-to-day duties, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively as part of a wider administrative team.
* Experience with document management systems and maintaining confidential information securely.
* Familiarity with preparing reports, handling correspondence would be beneficial.
