We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and oversee all aspects of food production.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, high standards, and a passion for delivering consistent, high-quality dishes in a busy service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Develop, plan, and cost menus, including seasonal specials and promotional dishes.
Maintain full compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and allergen procedures.
Oversee stock control, ordering, deliveries, and waste reduction.
Train, mentor, and support all kitchen staff to ensure a high-performing, cohesive team.
Maintain quality control over all food leaving the kitchen, including presentation and portion standards.
Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained, safe to use, and reported for repair when needed.
Manage labour budgets, rota planning, and overall kitchen profitability.
Foster a positive, professional working environment with a strong emphasis on communication and teamwork.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior Sous Chef.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Solid understanding of food costing, GP targets, and stock management.
Up-to-date knowledge of food safety standards; Level 3 Food Safety preferred.
Experience in high-volume or fast-paced hospitality environments.
