HireForce is delighted to be working with an Irish SME that is looking for a Financial Controller to oversee their finance department. This will be a hands on role that will vary from managing the day to day finances to presenting to the Board of Directors. The Financial Controller will be responsible for numerous projects within the company and will report directly to the CEO.This is a great opportunity for a Qualified Accountant with 2-5 years PQE in a similar role to take the next step as a FC in an Irish SME.Key Responsibilities:Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation and management of quarterly and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.Management Reporting: Review and present monthly management accounts to senior leadership, including insightful analysis on financial performance and key trends.Business Partnering: Work closely with the operations team to drive performance, support project execution, and improve commercial outcomes.VAT: Good knowledge of VAT compliance requirements and VAT legislation.Cash Flow Management: Oversee cashflow forecasting, monitoring liquidity, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of all payments.Variance Analysis & Reporting: Conduct in-depth variance analysis, identifying risks and opportunities, and proposing actionable solutions.Quarterly & Annual Reporting: Prepare and deliver high-quality quarterly and annual financial reports in compliance with internal and external requirements.Financial Controls: Develop, implement, and continuously enhance robust financial controls and processes to support scalable and efficient operations.Audit Support: Liaise with external auditors and prepare comprehensive audit packs to ensure a smooth and efficient year-end process.Knowledge, Skills and Experience:Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).2-5 years experience in a similar role.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.RemunerationCompetitive salary will depend on experience, pension, and healthcare.If the role isn’t for you, If you are happy with the level of service you’ve experienced with HireForce, we would really appreciate if you can refer a friend and you will receive a €250 voucher should we successfully place your friend.
