Engineer responsible for the testing and development of technology, systems, machines, attachments or components in the R&D department.
Work with NPD teams to ensure product meets design specifications by validation testing.
Ensure that reliability and durability targets are tested and validated by developing tests and test facilities.
Responsibilities
Sign off new NPD designs prior to Production release to relevant standards.
Test and develop new systems, components or installations as required.
Oversee data recording on site or from customers machines and specific applications.
Analyse data and create reports documenting development and design improvements.
Oversee all current and future compliance testing for TMFL Range.
Develop the test facilities within R&D to verify product durability and function.
Involved in technology development discussions for all aspects of TMFL product.
Responsible for own safety and should be aware of the safety of others.
Responsible to make employer aware of any unsafe areas, acts or equipment.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate mechanical engineer with Level 7 qualification or upwards.
Experience:
Methodical thinker and problem solver with ability to manage own workload.
Willing to train on engine, drivetrain, hydraulic and electrical components and systems related to Truck Mounted Forklifts.
After training be able to use data recording equipment for pressure, temperature etc.
Hands on approach, this role will be based between office, workshop and field.
Good communicator, ability to interact with customers and suppliers.
Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint for calculations and reports etc.
