Overview
The Crann Centre, a registered charity based in Ovens, Cork, is a specialist community-based disability service for children, adults, and families living with neuro-physical disabilities. Crann’s 2 Generations (2Gen) Model of Care delivers integrated health and social care supports across the lifespan, supporting better health and wellbeing outcomes and increased participation in education, employment, and leisure for individuals and families.
We wish to recruit an Interim Fundraising Manager to cover a period of extended leave. The focus of this role is to cultivate and manage a portfolio of donors, provide leadership for the fundraising team, support them to achieve their goals, and ensure the organisation’s income targets are met. Reporting to the Chief Executive. Type of Contract: Fixed term for 6 months. Hours and location: Full-time, Crann Centre, Ovens, Co. Cork.
Responsibilities
* Manage the Crann Centre’s fundraising portfolio and supporting systems.
* Set and achieve income targets across all fundraising channels, with a focus on developing strategies to maximise unrestricted income.
* Lead and manage the fundraising team, providing support to achieve high performance and agreed outcomes.
* Prepare progress reports for the Chief Executive, Fundraising Sub-Committee and Board of Directors meetings and attend as required.
* Manage Crann Centre’s corporate partnerships and create opportunities for multi-year strategic partnerships and support.
* Support the Community Fundraiser to plan, communicate and deliver the programme of Community Fundraising initiatives; ensure initiatives are evaluated and volunteers/donors are supported and valued.
* Support the development and implementation of the Individual Giving Programme and donor stewardship programme.
* Manage a portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, develop and maintain strong partnerships, conduct ongoing research, and build new relationships; work with Grants Coordinator to monitor opportunities and support grant applications and engagement with funders.
Skills and Competencies
* Experience leading the fundraising function and team.
* Proven track record of managing the high-value fundraising cycle, including corporates, major donors, trusts and foundations.
* Experienced people manager with a history of motivating and empowering others to reach potential and exceed goals.
* Knowledge of the Irish charity/voluntary sector market and The Crann Centre’s operating environment.
* Understanding of fundraising performance metrics.
* Experience in working with CRM fundraising databases, preferably Salesforce.
