Job Description:
Sterilisation technicians are responsible for operating and maintaining sterilisers to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility. They play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of medical equipment and products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Initiate pre-programmed steriliser cycles, verifying their correctness before commencing.
• Monitor equipment and printers to ensure they are always online and have sufficient feed-paper prior to each cycle.
• Conduct regular line checks to verify conformance to specification and respond to process alarms as needed.
Maintenance and Calibration:
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of sterilisers and associated equipment.
• Assist with validations to ensure the accuracy and reliability of sterilisation processes.
Customer Product Handling:
• Receive customer batches for processing and perform quantity and quality verification checks on each batch.
• Label all pallets of customer product clearly, indicating its disposition as it moves through the process.
• Safely secure loads in preparation for processing and transport them throughout the facility.
Documentation:
• Accurately document all stages of the sterilisation process according to established procedures.
