About the Role
We are seeking a part-time Senior Research Fellow to contribute to our research team at the RCSI School of Population Health.
The successful candidate will be employed on a Dublin North East Inner City (DNEIC) Task force funded partnership with RCSI to deliver a comprehensive Population Health Needs Assessment (PHNA) for the population of the DNEIC area.
As a Senior Research Fellow, you will have extensive postdoctoral research experience in a relevant field and a proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in high-quality journals.
You will also have strong quantitative analysis skills, proficiency in statistical software (e.g. R, Stata, or SAS), and experience in multi-stakeholder research, including policymakers or the public.
Key Responsibilities
* Support programme management, governance activities, funder reporting, strategic planning, and delivery of programme goals.
* Provide supervision and support to other researchers, undergraduate and/or postgraduate students involved in the programme.
* Develop and oversee data cleaning, management, and preparation for analysis in line with best practices.
* Lead or contribute to the write-up of research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and dissemination to key stakeholders.
* Engage in research communication to maximise programme impact, presenting findings to academic, policy, and clinical audiences, and supporting programme communication outputs.
* Support stakeholder engagement and Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) activities across the programme.
Requirements
* A PhD degree or equivalent in health services research, epidemiology, public health, psychology, sociology or related discipline.
* Extensive postdoctoral research experience in a relevant field.
* Proven ability to lead or coordinate research, supervising staff or students.
* Strong quantitative analysis skills and proficiency in statistical software (e.g. R, Stata, or SAS).
* Strong track record of peer-reviewed publications in high-quality journals.
* Experience in multi-stakeholder research, including policymakers or the public.
