The original house and lands at Mount Hybla served as a Glebe for the Church of Ireland Parish of Castleknock & Mulhuddart. Built around 1750 and protected as an architectural structure, it overlooks Farmleigh Estate in the Phoenix Park. About the Role
The Health Care Assistant is a vital part of the multidisciplinary team, responsible for caring for residents. The role involves supporting and assisting with personal care to promote residents' independence and wellbeing, addressing their physical, emotional, and cultural needs.
Responsibilities
Perform hygiene and dressing care functions for residents.
Ensure safe manual handling and transfer of residents within the nursing home.
Deliver food and assist with feeding residents.
Return used trays and dishes to the kitchen, maintaining a tidy environment.
Make beds and change linens.
Provide incontinence and toilet care, including emptying commodes and replacing catheter bags.
Assist trained nurses with psychological and social support as needed.
Maintain vigilance regarding residents' dignity, comfort, safety, and whereabouts.
Adhere to hygiene, health, and safety regulations consistently.
Perform any other duties as required.
