About the Role An established accountancy practice in Dundalk is seeking a Trainee Accountant to join its team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate or early-stage trainee to develop a career in accountancy within a supportive and professional environment.
You will gain hands-on experience across a broad range of accounting, tax, and advisory services, while receiving full study support towards your professional qualification.
Key Responsibilities Assisting in the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Supporting senior staff on audits, tax compliance, and advisory assignments.
Preparing VAT, PAYE/PRSI, and other statutory returns.
Assisting with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and management accounts.
Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
Contributing to ad-hoc projects as required.
Candidate Profile Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
02 years experience in practice (advantageous but not essential).
Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational ability.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ambition to pursue a professional qualification (ACA / ACCA / CPA).
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
