Your new company
A Site Manager is required by our client for a large construction project that will take 18 months to complete. They are experts in delivering construction projects across various sectors, including education, recreation and leisure, residential and commercial. You must have previous experience with a main contractor in Ireland and have previous experience of supervising projects to tight deadlines and to a very high standard, including health & safety. The responsibilities of the Site Manager will include:
1. Candidates with either an engineering or trades background will be considered.
2. You will need to have experience in the coordination of subcontractors, control programme with preparation of look-ahead programmes to facilitate the successful completion of the works on time.
3. You must be experienced and fully computer-literate and have proven experience in preparation of progress reports and chairing site meetings.
4. The ability to communicate with clients, architects, engineers, is essential.
5. Site set-up planning and security, logistics management, deliveries and traffic management.
6. You will work alongside the Project Manager to adhere to the construction programme, including the effective sequencing of the finishing trades to maximise quality and minimise reworking, while monitoring resources, labour, plant, site set-up and other overheads.
7. Be fully familiar with current Health and Safety Construction regulations.
8. Liaise with the design team on construction issues
9. Raise RFIs with the design team
10. Issue requisitions for materials
11. Maintain the site diary / daily log activities
12. Monitor and control quality / work standards on site
Requirements:
13. Candidates should have 7+ years' site management experience, in any combination of healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential, or large fit-out projects.
