Role Overview
This position suits an early career to developing automation engineer looking to build experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
The role supports automation systems across both new and existing equipment, contributing to projects that enable new products, improve reliability and support operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development, maintenance and improvement of automation and control systems
Assist with evaluating equipment performance, reliability and upgrade requirements
Contribute to defining automation requirements for projects and site activities
Support automation project delivery in line with agreed schedules and priorities
Participate in compliance and regulatory assessments related to automation systems
Provide technical input to scope changes and project planning activities
Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver project outcomes
Demonstrate company values and expected behaviours in all interactions
Skills and Experience
Degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
Experience supporting or delivering automation projects in a manufacturing environment
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
Working knowledge of quality systems within regulated industries (FDA, ISO or similar)
Exposure to commissioning, qualification or validation activities
Basic PLC programming, troubleshooting or control system experience
Familiarity with manufacturing or process engineering environments
Strong attention to detail with good organisational and planning skills
Proactive approach with strong communication and teamwork capability
High level of computer literacy and analytical problem solving ability
Interest in continuous improvement and operational excellence
