one of Ireland's leading structural steel contractors are seeking a Contracts Manager to join their expanding team based in Kilkenny. Our client works on a variety of multi million complex projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe. Projects across the Dublin area. The successful candidate would be taking lead on medium to large scale projects, potentially managing 2-3 simultaneously. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the successful delivery of works from planning through to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:
5. Oversee daily operations across multiple active projects, ensuring smooth coordination and delivery
6. Collaborate with the Main Contractor and Design Team to define and agree on project timelines
7. Work closely with the Production Manager to align site activity with manufacturing schedules
8. Prepare and submit detailed Method Statements and RAMS
9. Lead and support on-site teams, including foremen, steel erectors, and subcontractors
10. Identify and engage subcontractors and suppliers as needed
11. Uphold the highest standards in health & safety and quality control throughout each project
12. Provide regular progress updates to senior management, including commercial and schedule updates
13. Track all site activity, including labour, plant, and materials
14. Maintain accurate site documentation for change orders, additions, and variations
15. Support the preparation of project final accounts and close-out documentation
Requirements:
16. Proven project management experience—ideally in structural steel
17. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
18. Familiarity with structural steel design and construction software such as Tekla, StrucCad, Strumis, or AutoCAD is advantageous
19. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards
20. Excellent understanding of technical drawings and specifications
21. Hands-on experience in the fabrication and erection of structural steelwork
22. Knowledge of quality and safety standards including ISO 9001, ISO 18001, and CE Marking
23. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with working knowledge of Word and Outlook
