Customer Engineer (24/7 shift role) – Permanent – Kildare
Excellent opportunity for the position of Field Service Engineer based with a key global client in Kildare. Do you like to troubleshoot, solve complex electro‑mechanical problems and enjoy hands‑on tasks and projects? Our client is the leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world.
Responsibilities
On‑site installation, qualification, preventive and corrective maintenance and repair of electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
Interface with Irish based customers to ensure successful outcomes from equipment installations.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Use digital analytics for troubleshooting.
Qualifications
A Technical qualification (Level 7 or equivalent industry experience) preferred.
Hands‑on experience in mechanical, electrical or electronic work through previous experience or project work.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum or thermodynamics.
Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Full driving licence.
Ability to work 24/7 shift rota.

Travel
Requires travel to global training sites for several weeks initially before returning to Ireland.
Applicants must be able to travel internationally and must have Stamp 4 or unrestricted full working rights for Ireland.
