Accounts Assistant ( Part -Time )
We currently have a vacancy for a part time Accounts Assistant within our Finance and Administration Team.

The Post
Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the role will support the finance and reception teams in the day-to-day operations of the College.
This post is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is eager to learn and has an interest in pursuing a career in accounting/finance. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities for this role will include but will not be limited to the following duties:
* Processing accounts payable invoices, setting up new accounts and dealing with queries on invoices
* Liaise with all departments for invoice approvals
* Producing the monthly suppliers' payment run
* Reconciling Supplier statements and the monthly creditor control accounts
* Processing school credit card/clever card transactions
* Managing Petty Cash and processing cash transactions
* Bank reconciliations
* Manage and develop processes to record and reconcile student recoverable items e.g school trips, music tuition, taxis, laundry, schoolbooks etc.
* Manage and monitor school deposits and advance fee payments
* Liaise with the Prefecting team in relation to financial aspects of co-curricular trips, and other student related banking matters.
* Undertake any other duties requested by the Finance Manager, which will include cover for reception and other staff members as required.
* Assisting with VAT computation, processing and filing PSWT and RCT on ROS
* Assisting with Payroll
* Provision of information to support the End of Year school audit

Essential
· Strong numerical and analytical skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office applications.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
Desirable
* Recently qualified/ Studying towards (or intending to study towards ) a qualification in accounting, finance or business.
* Previous experience in a finance or accounts environment (including internships or work placements).
* Familiarity with databases / accounting systems

· Salary / Hours
This is a part time, permanent role. Hours for this role will be circa 20 hours per week. Salary for this role will be pro rata is circa €16,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
